In the west central Africa is a country named Gabon, which has eighty per cent of tropical forest, distinct wildlife, untouched, beautiful beaches, numbers of wall paintings and much more! The country has gone a drastic change economically and has become centre of ecotourism sites. There many popular tourist destinations such as France Ville, Libreville, Lambarene, Lastours Ville, etc.

As the country is very big about two lakh seventy thousand kilometers and there are many cities, unique in their own way. But to begin with your journey I would suggest that you start with Libreville. As Libreville has port on the Komo River which is near to Gulf of Guinea, it is considered as a major trade centre. Libreville has many things stored for you like National Museum of Arts and Traditions, St. Marie’s cathedral, St Michael Church and French Cultural Centre which have attracted most of the tourists. Museum is a great way to know the history and the rareness of the place and churches, to pray whole trip goes well and safe! Just kidding, churches are old and the architecture of it is the main reason for most of the people to visit here.

Getting to Libreville is convenient with admirable services of the Libreville International Airport. The biggest airport in Gabon, the Libreville International Airport is serving major airlines, making Gabon travel uncomplicated and suitable.

To try something new and different cuisines, one should go to France Ville! This city is among favorite tourist destination in Gabon for infrastructure, markets and shopping, but I would suggest to have local meat which is commonly of animals in jungle such as African Rock Python, monkey and home species of animals are also found here.

Except for the food, the other attractions are golf courses, a large statue of Omar Bongo and St Hillarie’s Church.

For nature lovers, there are very stunning waterfalls and one of the best is Poubara Falls.

Mayumba is a gorgeous town located on a neck of land by the Atlantic Ocean. The Banio Lagoon disconnects the peninsula from the mainland. The town rests amidst three fine-looking tiny hills which break up the lagoon from the Atlantic Ocean. Positioned beside Atlantic Ocean, the town has a splendid beach. The waves sometimes are good for surfing and beaches are good for tanning. The lagoon is great place for oyster diving and you will get some delicious sea food cuisines, cooked fresh! The town has a huge park, Mayumba National Park, which stretches approximately sixty mayumba national parkkilometers which is also home for leopards, forest elephants, buffalo, gorillas, chimpanzees, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, and several species of monkeys and about fifteen kilometers stretch towards the sea is the protected area by the park for the leatherback turtle’s nest and marine inhabitant’s sharks, dolphins and migrating Humpback whales.

The Gabon is well connected by the means of transportation, within the country as well as outside the country. The bus routes are convenient and easy to get to the nooks and corners of the country. The bus tickets are also cheap.

There are numbers of boats those sail by the side of the Ogooue River to Lambarene. These boats leave daily to/ from Libreville and Port Gentil.
