Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is a huge wildlife conservation and preserve region in South Africa that straddles the border between Botswana and South Africa and comprises of two neighboring national parks called Gemsbok National Park in Botswana and Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa. The entire area of the park is around 38,000 square kilometers, while one quarter of the park lies in South Africa and other three quarters in Botswana. The term Kgalagadi means place of thirst. It is situated largely inside the southern Kalahari Desert and the land comprises of red sand dunes, dry riverbeds, sparse vegetation and occasional tress of Auob and Nossob rivers. The water runs underground and offers life for camelthorn trees and grass growing in the river beds.

The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park has abundance of wildlife and is a home to huge mammalian predators including black-maned Kalahari lions, hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Wandering herds of big herbivores are blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, springbok and eland. There are over 200 species of birds such as vultures and raptors including eagles, secretary birds and buzzards. Inside the park, you will find three conventional tourist lodges known as rest camps. These are full service cottages and provide amenities like air conditioning, swimming pools and shopping. You will also find six wilderness camps that offer little more than wash water and shelter, but travelers have to carry their own firewood, food and drinking water.

The Kalahari National Park was founded in the year 1931 in South Africa largely for protecting the migrating game, especially gemsbok from simmering. In 1999, South Africa and Botswana signed a significant agreement whereby both nations undertook their neighboring national parks, the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa and Gemsbok National Park in Botswana. Some of the activities in the park include Game drives and wilderness walks, Swimming pools at Mata Mata, Twee Rivieren, Kalahari Tented Camp and Nossob, several 4×4 trails, communal ablutions and picnic sites along main routes, Nossob 4×4 Eco Trail, Visitor Centre and la carte Restaurant at Twee Rivieren, Leeuwdril 4×4 Loop, Hides located at water hole at Mata Mata and Nossob, !Xerry Wilderness Trail and Predator Centre at Nossob.

The first humans to reside the Kgalagadi National Park were the Kgalagadi tribes, albeit they were nomadic. The Khoe-speaking group of people of Southern Africa is not one ethnic group, but a communal of various peoples with different cultural practices and languages. Today, there are approximately 100,000 Khoe speaking people in these parts, which inhabit in scattered small pockets in rural and urban regions of Angola, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Namibia. The park is most famous for its unique desert adapted mammals, rodents, birds and especially black maned Kalahari gemsbok and lions.

One of the convenient ways to get to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is to fly to Upington and then hire a vehicle and drive yourself to the park. You will find car rental available on Upington Airport such as Avis, Budget, Tempest, Hertz and Imperial. Some of the hotels near Kgalagadi Park include Hotel Safari & Safari Court Hotel, Walmont at The Grand Palm, Gaborone Sun Hotel & Casino, Mmabatho Tusk Hotel & Casino, Midgard Lodge, Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel, Savoy Hotel, Sehuba Inn, Luderitz Nest Hotel, Canyon Hotel, Protea Hotel Upington, Tau Game Lodge, Gaborone Travel Inn, Hansa Hotel, Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, Cresta Lodge, Garden Court Kimberley, Protea Hotel Walvis Bay Lodge, The Cabanas Hotel, The Cascades Hotel, Cresta President Hotel, Hilton Windhoek Namibia, Orion Safari Lodge, Strand Hotel, Tusk Taung Casino Hotel and Windhoek Country Club Resort & Casino. There are plenty of things to do in and around the Kgalagadi region.

The islands are home to a good number of locales that make for a great destination. Seychelles is located off the beautiful waters of the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania. The island was occupied by France till before it gained independence in 1976.

The Republic of Seychelles has since grown much. Although there were a good number of political upheavals and other coups, it is a reasonably safe destination at the moment, and derives much of its income from tourism.

There are eighty five thousand inhabitants within the islands. Seychelles residents speak mainly English, although Creole and French are also common. The island has a total area of about one thousand seven hundred and seventy six sq miles.

Seychelles comprise of close to a thousand islands that are scattered in the deep blue Indian Ocean. There are two rock forms that are found in the region – coral and granite. Snorkeling is one of the best activities you can indulge in the islands.

Seychelles has the ideal location that is just off the eastern coast of Africa, and it is home to some of the most exquisite beaches in the country. There are a great number of excellent destinations that seem to be made for holidayers. There are a great number of excellent hotels and resorts that have sprung up so as to meet the increasing demand from tourists for quality accommodation.

Liberia, at present, has an image of disorder and misery but the country is full of lush and draped by the rain forest. After decades of war and destruction of land if the traveling becomes safe again, the tourism will grow tremendously as the country has many excursions. The country is filled with natural resources like rainforests, flora and fauna and welcoming and enthrallingly people. Liberia is also famous for it artistic traditions like carved masks, textile and quilting; the known quilter is Martha Ann Ricks which was gifted to Queen Victoria in 1892, etc.

The traditional and cultural knowledge about this country, natural resources like hundred of screeching birds which are accompanied by the jungle elephants, hippopotamus, and other wild animals roaming without any restriction in this vast, flourishing green forest, who have less visitors and mystery to many travelers. Except for forests, the country has a long coast with dazzling white sand and glittering clear blue sea water, humid stream delta and tidal lagoon, is very much of tourist attraction.

The circumstances are not good in Liberia so it’s better to get update on the local security about the country before heading towards here.

Monrovia is the capital city of Liberia and tour in Monrovia is a must for its interesting and rich heritage and culture. The city is situated to the northern side of the Liberian coast and has many small islands and isthmus divided by the sea. The waterside market is one of the tourist attraction spot in the city. Here you can shop for some handmade handicrafts and traditional goods of the city. You will get African cloths which are brought from different regions and are sold at the Free Port in the open market. The markets are good place to see the way of life and lifestyle of the people and to mingle with them.

In Monrovia there is a National museum where you will get to see and have knowledge about the glorious history and interesting culture of Liberia. The museum displays the artifacts collected from different regions all over the country. As Liberia had very long history where many battles were fought for the country and for the freedom of the people so here you will see a vast collection from its historical flag to official documents, memoirs, etc.

Another site is the Sapo National park which is the biggest park in Liberia. The park covers from valley of rainforest to riparian forests, swampy land to dried land, plus with it this park has various range of wild animals, insects and wild but rare flowers. The forests are mostly known for elephants, zebra duiker, chimpanzees, black and white Colobus, etc.

Harper, another city in Liberia is a tourist spot for known beaches. It’s mostly known for holiday getaway spot for leisure and to relax on the beach. The Harper coast is shared by the Atlantic sea and tropical climate, making Harper beach famous for the spending holidays. The hotels here are also good who provide good service with spa and swimming pools and the beach you can try water sports such as kayaking and surfing.

How will you get here?

By Air
Just sixty kilometers away from the centre city of Monrovia is Roberts’s field where main flights fly, Monrovia International Airport. At present it is said to be safe and protected by the UNMIL.

From the US, Delta Air Lines had scheduled to fly to Monrovia via Sal, Cape Verde in June 2009. This flight departs straight from Atlanta, but has been delayed due to airfield safety concerns.

By train
There are no real train services. An old mine track has turned into railway track for the tourists.

By car
The road condition in Liberia is worst. Gas is selling in gallon, not in liter! Liberia makes use of miles and MPH!

By bus
Because poor condition of the roads there are no bus service available. The government had made some arrangements for tourists but the buses are not usable for the convenience of traveling.

By taxi
The best way to get around Monrovia is by taxi. The streets are unsafe and usually packed. Take care of your belongings and yourself as getting robbed is common here. Talk around with your traveler fellows who are staying here and take numbers of the taxi drivers on whom you can rely for safe journey.

Notice for the travelers

Take care of your belonging and yourself. This country is on constant civil war so before going there check with your embassy or any other reliable source. Do not trust taxi drivers or people willing to help you. Carry your visa and certificate of yellow fever vaccination. While coming here book your hotel and flights reservation before hand. And have a happy and safe journey!

Egypt is formally acknowledged as the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is a country on the whole located in North Africa. The Sinai Peninsula forms a land connection of Egypt with the regions in Southwest Asia. In that way, Egypt is also described as the transcontinental nation, and is well thought-out to be a most important authority in the region of North Africa, as well as the Mediterranean Region, also the African continent, the Islamic World as well as the Red Sea and the Nile Basin. The country covers a total region around 390,000 sq mi. The Mediterranean Sea is placed to the northern edge of the country, where as the Gaza Strip as well as the Israel region is placed to the northeastern frontier, moreover the Red Sea is located to the eastern boundary, further Sudan is to the south as well as Libya is located to the west.

Egypt is one of the majority crowded countries in Africa as well as Middle East.

The huge best part of its predictable 77.4 million survive in close proximity to the banks of the River Nile, in the region which is almost 15,000 sq mi, where the merely arable farming terra firma is originated. The outsized regions of the Sahara Desert are sparingly occupied. Concerning half of Egypt’s inhabitants reside in the city regions; with a good number extended crossway the thickly occupied centers of the greater Cairo, as well a Alexandria and also the various other most important cities located in the Nile Delta.

Egypt is well-known for its very old empire as well as a number of the world’s the majority renowned tombstones, which includes the Giza pyramid structure as well as its Great Sphinx.

The southern metropolitan of Luxor encloses many antique artifacts, namely the Karnak Temple as well as the Valley of the Kings. Egypt is extensively observed as a significant political as well as cultural country of the entire Middle East.

Egypt acquires one of the majority extended wealth in the region of the entire Middle East, with various sectors such as agriculture, industry as well as service and tourism at approximately equivalent charges in nationwide fabrication. As a result, the Egyptian financial system is speedily increasing, outstanding in division to the legislation that is aimed at attractive ventures, combined with equally internal as well as the political steadiness, by the side of with fresh market as well as the trade liberalization.

History:-

In relation to 5,000 years in the past, a extraordinary method of life, or society, breed up by the length of the banks of the River Nile in the Egypt. It thrived for more than 3,000 years, longer than the majority further civilization in the globe’s olden times. Egypt is in the midst of the majority powerful of the various Arab states. It is located between the regions of Middle East as well as Africa. This very old nation grasps the past of more than 6,000 years and has a lot of thrilling magnetisms for the numerous travelers. The Pyramids, the tomb of young King Tut and the Sphinx are presently few of the most exciting attractions that create curiosity as well as excitement among the variety of people of each and every age.

The additional 3000 year extended account of very old Egypt has been separated into almost 8 or 9 eras, from time to time acknowledged as the Kingdoms. This contemporary-day separation is to some extent without rhyme or reason based on the nation’s wealth as well as the unity and the power of the central administration. The very old Egyptians themselves did not faction their monarchs on the basis of such criterion. They to a certain extent appear to have extended the idea of dynasties all the way through their olden times. The Palermo Stone merely lists the emperors’ one subsequent to the other, devoid of any obvious requirement of placing them in groups. The Turin Kinglist, which is further current, has clustered the emperors as of their death or birth. As a result, Amenemhat I and his offsprings are portrayed as the rulers of Itj-Tawi, the center whence they tented.

We have a loan from the separation into various 30 kingdoms as we utilize it at the present to Manetho, where an Egyptian celebrant who survived at the opening of the Ptolemaic period. In a lot of cases, on the other hand, it is not obvious why Manetho has clustered a number of emperors into single dynasty as well as other emperors into one more. The eighteenth Dynasty, for example, begins with Ahmose, who is a brother of the preceding ruler in Manetho’s seventeenth Dynasty. Hypothetically, Ahmose as well as Kamose should therefore have been collected in the similar dynasty. Thutmosis I, in contrast, does not come into view to have been connected to his precursor, Amenhotep I, but tranquil together emperors are clustered in the eighteenth Dynasty.

A number of Egyptologists have afforded to dump the ideas of Kingdoms as well as the dynasties, however for the sake of traditional values with the majority publications trading with the very old Egypt, this place will carry on using both ideas.

Climate:-

Egypt Country does not get a large amount precipitation apart from the months of winter. South of Cairo, precipitation standards merely about 0.1 to 0.2 inches for each year as well as at times of a lot of years. On an incredibly thin stripe of the northern shoreline the precipitation might be as towering as 16.1 inhes, with the majority of the precipitation between the months of October and March. Temperature standards between 13 °C as well as 21 °C in the winter season. A stable current of air that flows from the northwest regions assist hold downward the warmth next to the Mediterranean coastline. The Khamaseen is a current of air that blusters from the region in the south of Egypt in the months of spring, which brings sand as well as dust, and from time to time heaves the hotness in the desert region to above 38 °C.

Demographics:-

Egyptians are by outlying the major cultural group in the country of Egypt at 91% of the entirety populace. Ethnic minorities present in the country include the Greeks, Turks, Abazas, Bedouin Arab clans residing in the deserts located in the eastern regions as well as the Sinai Peninsula, the Siwis residing near the Siwa Oasis, and also the Nubian communities grouped by the side of the River Nile. There are as well ethnic communities of Beja concerted in the south-eastern the majority bends of the nation, and a amount of Dom clans typically in the region of the Nile Delta as well as the Faiyum basically who are increasingly turning into an incorporated as urbanization grows.

Egypt in addition houses an unidentified number of haven seekers as well as refugees, however they are predictable to be somewhere around 500,000 and 3 million. There are a number of 70,000 Palestinian refugees as well as about 150,000 lately inwards Iraqi refugees; nevertheless the amount of the chief cluster, the Sudanese, is the actual challenge. The once lively Jewish as well as Greek communities residing in Egypt have almost departed, with merely a small amount left over in the nation, but a lot of Egyptian Jews stopover on spiritual events and also for tourism. Approximately the whole inhabitants of Muslims are the Sunni denominations. A noteworthy amount of Muslim Egyptians as well pursue indigenous Sufi orders, as well as there is a marginal amount of the Shi’a community.

There is a huge marginal amount of Christians in the country of Egypt, who cover up the remaining of the inhabitants (around 10% to 20%). More than 91% of Egyptian Christians feel right to the local Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria.

Most of the tourists who have been to guinea call it ‘Switzerland of Africa’ because of the landscape which varies from magnificent mountains to dried plains and from beautiful Savannahs to attractive mangroves and there are three main African rivers which originate from here making the whole region pleasant and scenic. It’s a huge land with less population.

The south region of Guinea has world’s some remaining tropical dry forests and rainforests which are luxuriant and have varieties of wildlife. The Fouta Djalon Plateau in the west has extravagant waterfalls which make the whole view pleasant and memorable; also the place has some adventurous hiking spots in West Africa. The capital of the country is Conakry, though it doesn’t have scenically blessed, the city promises good and safe nightlife.

The Guinea’s uniqueness comes out not only because of its impressive scenery but through its culture. The country is still rooted to it tradition o music and dance. The idea of tourism industry is still lacking behind in Guinea than compared to other countries in West Africa. So the tour won’t be easy but the price would be rewarding.

As it is mention above the city Conakry is not much blessed by the Mother Nature but it has few good looking botanical gardens. Then at the centre of the city is Cathedral which is worth viewing and then the national museum is one of the place you will get to see collected works of masks, statues and musical instrument. You can’t miss out see Chinese build auditorium, Palais du Peuple which is a home for two national ballet troupes.

In the suburb of Conakry there are these caves known as Kakimbon Caves which is a big religious place for the Baga people who live on the costal areas of Guinea. Try catching some local people from there and knowing the legends of that caves. Around six miles to the southwest of Conakry is the Îles de Los which is tagged as a tourist destination. There are even uncrowded beaches at Île de Roume and Île de Kassa which can be reached by the public boat service.

Approximately ninety three miles away from the Conakry city is a mini heaven. Just between the luxuriant foliage beside two hundred and thirty feet long rock, flows dazzling River Sabende which turn into calm pond, is the picturesque Le Voile de la Mariée. There is another waterfall in Pita situates amid Dabala and Labe, is the most striking waterfall which falls from four thousand and two feet.

For some appealing open markets and famous Mosques in the city you should visit to nearby town known as Katikan and if you are interested in buying good quality of cloths and weaving which is an indigo dying centre, you should go to a town named Kindia.

Farrah town is the happening place once the sun sets down. With amazing mosques, villas, wine boulevards and markets to roam around, this place always get filled by the chaos and bustle of the people. To have a pleasant walk go to Niger this flows from Foroknia north to Bamako.

Fouta Djalon highlands are known to its striking scenic view. The hills here are well known for hiking. The town Mamou which is nearby and you can’t miss the street food served there. To the eastern region of Guinea is full of historical town and the remaining of the medieval empire.

Guinea doesn’t have any national parks but you can see wildlife in the northwest Savannahs which is amid of Tinkisso River and the Mali border, below the Fouta Djalon.

To visit this country there are regular flights of Air France from London to Conakry via Paris. Air Afrique functions from New York to Dakar, from where linking flights to Guinea are obtainable.
