Ollantaytambo – an Inca treasure
Ollantaytambo is a really charming town of minuscule proportions situated in the western end of the Sacred Valley and is close to 2 hrs 30 mins from Cuzco by bus. The town was constructed on top of the Inca foundations that were originally at the site, and is the best examples of town planning of the Incans. The town has been separated into a number of canchas or blocks, all of which are in a state of excellent preservation even now.
Each one of the canchas has one entrance that leads to a central courtyard region. There are a good number of excellent sights on offer at the Ollantaytambo. The houses surround the courtyard and the best examples of this type of planning can be seen at the space behind the main plaza.

Pembroke Castle
The towering Pembroke Castle is one castle that truly inspires a feeling of awe by its sheer size. The castle was a stronghold for the Normans, and dates back to the times of William the Conqueror. The original castle was built at that time, but a major part of the present castle was built somewhere in the 13th century.
Henry Tudor, who later went on to become King Henry VII, was born in Pembroke Castle.
