Always other’s pain teaches us many things in life. Nowadays due to the advance technology and rapidly growing media industry, you can actually vision the disasters even if you cannot visit that place. That sight brings so many emotions but yes it gives away a lot. Like whenever I see any war affected area, it always depicts the glorious past but, simultaneously it also reveals the shattered present and a fateful future. Your heart melts when you see such sites while it keeps reminding your brain the consequences of war. I really imagine who invented this word and this concept; it is the prime reason for the creation of rift in human mind.
These wars have turned the most beautiful cities in huge blunders. And the worst part is maximum number of people that gets sacrificed are all innocent. Like they are not in any ways responsible for the war but still they are brutally killed. Sometimes the land stands for its rights and bounces back but some places get permanently collapsed. One such country that is still trying very hard to bounce back is the Democratic Republic of Congo, which has suffered huge damage and I will say it is still going through the consequences of war.
Being the third largest country in the African continent, it is the most populated country. Located right in the heart of the west-central of Sub Saharan Africa, it relishes the easy admission to the ocean through a forty km stretch of Atlantic coastline and almost nine kilo meter away from the mouth of Congo River. Due to its equatorial position, this country goes through a huge amount of downfall that results in the maximum occurrence of thunderstorm. Well known for its heaviest rainfall, Congo has dense luxuriant forest that encloses most of the land. It is the blessing of Congo River that passes by, makes the country rich in its natural resources. They even posses’ huge amount of mineral wealth and hence, Congo is one of the world’s largest producers of Cobalt ore.
Even after years of insecurity due to the civil wars, the country has developed to immense extent. Initially these places were not safe but now they can be regarded as safe destination to travel. No doubt that the country is rich in mineral resources but, still they are counted as one of the poor country which is still struggling for its basic needs and requirement. The land is still not out of the consequences of war; hence the government is yet not considering tourism. One cannot deny that tourism has good scope in this country and that will definitely add to the financial growth and development.
Due to the dense forest these regions possess many national parks that consist of wide range of wildlife and vegetation. World Conservation Society and WWF are the key elements in maintaining these parks. Few of the attraction that comprises animals like gorillas, elephants, hippopotamus, leopards and sea turtles, and the parks are home to many rare birds.
Blessed with the most beautiful coastline on the Atlantic Ocean, Congo owns few beaches which are the recreational centers of local natives. They are well known as eco friendly tourism as the facilities they provide is amazing. The water sports like Sea Kayaking, Water skiing, water surfing and golf relives people from their stress. Cote Sauvage is known as one of the best beaches in the area.
The natural calamities and long going war have damaged the transportation system of the country. The citizens hugely suffer for commuting from one place to another. The war has damaged the road and rail services while one of the lava that erupted in Nyirangongo killed many people and destructed the local airport ruining the runways and blowing off some of the planes. Hence, the transportation is big problem but waterway is a good option. Then the internal economical conflicts are the major hurdle in the development of transportation.
Such a wonderful country, we really hope that it bounces back so that in future we can definitely go and enjoy the wildlife and dense forest life.
