The best time to witness some interesting sports such as; annual marathon is held in the private farm and Rhino Conservation Park is one to name among few games, is from May to August that is dry winter months and from September to October is spring season. The beach of Kenya has a lot to offer! The greenish – blue sea with dazzling blue water is full of coral reefs and marine life. To explore the coast and underneath marine life, diving is best way to discover the underwater paradise! Just the colors of the reefs in the background and the fish floating around, create a magical color combination which looks stunning.
Diving is not the only thing to do on the beach; you can swim with sharks in the sea which will be mesmerizing and kite surfing which is among favorites over here. After so many water sports, resorts and hotels on the beach are one place where you will find comfort and can lay back, enjoy the service. The cuisine of Swahili is mind blowing which will leave your taste buds craving for more!
There are many sites and places for excursion; Gedi Ruins – it is one of Kenya’s great mysterious treasures, an astonishing lost town lying in the pits of the great Arabuko Sokoke forest, which has been puzzling the archaeologists for its existence.
Fort Jesus – Mombasa
Standing on the Mombasa harbor, the fort is one of the National Monuments in Kenya. It’s turned into museum and you will find trained guides who will show you around and tell the history of its existence. Here you will mostly find gun tower, houses and fortification.
Other then there are also Nairobi National Museum where you can know Kenya’s history, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage which is a home for baby elephants who are orphan or whose elephant mother is killed by some hunter, Giraffe Center at Nairobi is a center made for endangered Rothschild giraffe. Here they even do breeding of the giraffes, these are few to name.
Getting by air to Kenya
The National Airline Kenya Airways functions with several flights, including: Eldoret, Kisumu, Lamu Island, Lockichogio, Malindi and Mombasa. Air Kenya serves flights to the National Parks and to cities such as Amboseli, Kilimanjaro, Kiwayu, Lamu, Malindi, Masai Mara, Mombasa, Nanyuki and Samburu. There are also private flights to the national parks. Kenya has about two hundred and fifty airports so there is no problem of getting one air plane to reach here.
By Road
Kenya have entrance by road from Ethiopia via the main border crossing at Moyale, with Uganda via the main border passage at Malaba, Kampala (capital of Uganda) and Nairobi are linked too, Tanzania via Namanga. These days, there’s no safe way to enter or exit Kenya country from Sudán or Somalia, so be careful while traveling by road towards Kenya.
