Most Romantic Islands: Tahiti and Her Islands

The Tahiti and her islands have promising sunset on black sand beach, adventurous water sports like snorkeling and get the insight of marine life by scuba diving and much more! For the newly married or thinking of going for second/third honeymoon, the place is the most romantic place to be! If you just want to spend quality time by exploring the island or sitting on beaching, sipping drinks, you will be always surrounded by scenery. This place is a paradise of natural world!

Tahiti Island is the largest island in whole French Polynesia in the southern Pacific sea. Tahiti is an archipelago and part Tahiti and her islandsof the Society Islands that includes islands of Bora Bora, Raiatea, Taha’a, Huahine and Moorea. The population on the island is one-lakh twenty seven thousand people and majority of the population are of Polynesian ancestry. Southeast Tahiti is shaped into turtle because it is made up of two volcanic mountain ranges. The big portion of land is called Tahiti Nui and smaller Portion, Tahiti Iti. The two lands are connected by beautiful black sand beach.

The water here is so pristine that you will wish to dive in. That is why scuba diving is one of the favorite activities among visitors. Imagine yourself swimming through into the waters discovering huge amount of rare and colorful corals and reefs with little bright colored fish floating around these corals including Manta rays, sharks and whales and you swimming with such wonderful beings of underwater. To get into the waters of Aquarium, the wrecks, Papa Whisky and Lagoon Hole there are many dive shops, tour operators who will take you there with all equipment. In addition, to learn scuba diving you can enroll yourself for PADI training and refreshers courses. If you are not into scuba diving, you can go for snorkeling, enjoying against warm currents of huge sea.

If you do not wish to get wet and want to stay above seawater, then best way is sailing or sail boarding. As the climate is warm and humid, so you do not need swimsuit or anything extra. If you are a beginner and do not know how to sail. No worries! On the beach, you will find many instructors to teach you. May month is a good month for the surfers as waves are good during this month. Surfers from neighboring countries come here to surf. There are many spots for surfing on the north and south coast. Nevertheless, for awesome aquatic adventure, you can hand feed sharks and swim with Marlin, Yellow fin tuna, sailfish, swordfish, barracuda are few names to mention.

If you think underwater and land is not enough then try go and fly! Some islands near Tahiti offer amazing sky gliding Para glidinglike Para gliding, hang gliding etc. Lessons on flying are also given. You can learn flying! In addition, quad biking is available – there is do much to explore in all these islands. Each island has uniqueness that allures the visitors.

It is not necessary you should always be on your toes and explore by doing everything that islands offer you. You can lay back, stretch your back, and appreciate the view of the island. For more stunning view, fly in helicopter. The helicopters here offer air tour where you will see the upper view of the island that looks amazing! Or else go to a self-organized picnic to Motu, which is tiny atoll in Lagoon.

Did you known here you can shop for black pearls! The black pearls look just magnificent and royal. Except jewellery, the islands offer good market where you can buy some hand made traditional masks and sculptures, cloths, etc. Tahitian spa is best way to squeeze away pain, tension or stress from the body. The methods used for massaging are different and the ingredients too. The experience will leave you feeling relaxing and light like feather!

You can reach here by Tahiti’s own-based international carrier, Air Tahiti Nui. The island has airport named Papeete Airport, which is four miles from the main city. From airport, you will find buses, which are scheduled and regular. You will get taxis too, but they are quite expensive. To travel around the islands there are scheduled ships and boats available and domestic flights.
