Relish Yourself At Aruba



It is an island in the south of Caribbean Sea, located on the north of paraguana Peninsula, in the state of Falcon in Venezuela. The group of southern islands called as ABC islands in Leeward Antilles which include Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. In the Kingdom of the Netherlands the Aruba Island is an independent region with no subdivisions. Caquetios Amerinds from the Arawak tribes were the first natives of Aruba Island these people came here from Venezuela to escape attacks from the Caribs. There were large sea currents which made hard for Canoes to travel to Caribbean Islands which made the culture of Caquetio close with South America. Amerigo Vespucci and Alonso de Ojeda first came to this island in August 1499 and from this time the Europeans came to know about Aruba Island.

Most of the Aruba’s population was Spanish for a century. The Indian Chief or the Cacique in Aruba gifted a wooden cross to the first priests in Aruba in the year 1508. Alonso de Ojeda was declared as Spain’s first Governor of Aruba. Jaun Martinez de Ampies was another governor appointed by the Spain. In November 1525 he decided to depopulate the islands of Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire. While the people under the rule of first governor enjoyed very good liberty as compare to the northern European farmer. The island of Aruba was under the Dutch administration up till 1636 under the rule of Peter Stuyvesant. The mission of “New Netherlands and Curacao were started by Stuyvesant in November and December 1642 when the rules of Dutch government started. From 1799 to 1802 Aruba was captured by United Kingdom and again from 1805 to 1816. General Francisco de Miranda stayed in Aruba with his group of 200 fighters when he was on the mission of separating Venezuela from Spain in the year 1806. Aruba got the status of separate state in the year 1933. There are five main industries on which the economy of Aruba is most commonly known for these are Tourism, Gold mining, Phosphate mining, Aloe Export, and Petroleum refineries.

The Caribbean waters getting kissed by the sun and warm winds the beaches in Aruba are filled and expanded with wide shades, water sports, busy sunbathing etc. There is much more for all the beach lovers like swimming, snookering, waterskiing, banana boating, kite surfing, tubing all kinds of amazing adventures are just a visit away at these beaches. There are some areas where the beaches are undeveloped and at these places the water activities are not recommended, while on other wild coasts every sport is just a walk away with privacy and natural beauty. All these natural sites and beaches are open for public. Aruba has the highest standard of living at present and tourism is the major sector now with huge chains of hotels. It is one of the most visited popular vacation spot for the tourists in Caribbean the tourism industry is at the highest peak reaching millions annually.

Weather

Aruba has clear skies, cool winds, and bright sunshine almost every year. The weather here is amazing which catches attention of visitors from all around the world. There are limited showers on some days of the year. In the mid of October and mid of August Aruba face hurricanes as it is located on the fringe of hurricane belt.

How to get there

Aruba is connected with many airlines and connections from all over the world. Queen Beatrix International Airport is the Caribbean airport and serves millions of tourists every year. It is an example of multi dollar renovation with many facilities. Seasonal charter flights from Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Louisville etc also land here on this airport. US Airways, Delta Airlines, Air Tran, Jet blue Airways, and American Airlines etc are the flights to Aruba. There are daily cruises available for the tourists to explore Aruba. Rental cars and motor cycles and taxis are also available to roam in Aruba. The main bus station is located in the down town there are daily bus services to all the districts of Aruba.

Where to stay

The Resorts, Casinos, and Spas are awful and located near the beaches and surrounded by gardens, lagoons, and waterfalls. The accommodation here is breath taking. The resorts and hotels are luxurious and very comfortable. There are five stars and two stars hotels starting from expensive range to low range. It is the most visited island so accommodation here is extended at every part of the island. Cottages and hostels are also available for those who wish to stay with the traditional Aruba culture.

The carnival season starts with activities for the entire Aruba populations. Every street of Aruba gets decorated with lots of lights and brightness on every corner of the street.
