EI Salvador is a tiny country in Central America which means Republic of the Savior. Though it is the smallest country of Central America but still it is densely populated. The EI Salvador surrounds the Pacific Ocean between the Guatemala and Honduras and is located on the Gulf of Fonseca. As per the religion, it could be said that the country has 52.6 percent of residents as Catholic and 27.9 percent as Protestant. Visit during 13 or 14 September to attend the Patronal festival or else on 3 May to enjoy the harvest procession. Go for white-water rafting at the rivers of Lempa during the rainy season that occurs from the month of May to October and Paz during the month of November to April. Explore the Cerro Verde that has cloud forest, clean mountain air, sweeping views, walks and three volcanoes to offer in the national park that covers an area of 1,250 acre. Ride a horse to Guazapa volcano and grasp peace at Ruta de Paz. Well, do not forget to hike at this amazing place.
To reach here you have Comalapa International Airport which is the only airport in the country. It lies at a distance of about 50 kilometres to the southeast direction of San Salvador. This airport is locally called as Comalapa International or El Salvador International.
