India is known to be a mystical land, there is much more to the place other than Agra, Delhi, Shimla, Mumbai and Rajasthan. There are some great places to visit in India, other than these. The more you delve into the land, the more you get to know about it.

Unique Places to Visit in India

Bhangarh in Rajasthan is known to be a haunted place for ages now. This place was established by Madhoo Singh. It is believed to be impossible to reside in the place after sunset. This is a major tourist attraction in the daytime and the town is built with beautiful houses and colorful markets. The history of this place says that the place is cursed and if the town is ever re- discovered, only temples and shrines would be left in the place and all the rest destroyed. This is simply an amazing place to be in. The city looks vibrant and full of life in the morning, but as the sun sets the mournful and the ghastly appearance of the town takes its course.

Bhangarh in Rajasthan

Magnetic Hill in Ladakh, is another place which is simply awesome. Visitors have always associated the place to be the most beautiful travel destination in India. Nobody has ever looked at the magnetic quality of the place. The Leh Magnetic Hill which is located on the National Highway ( Leh- Kargil Baltik NH), almost 30 km from Leh. The hill is believed to possess magnetic properties which attracts metallic objects and they are made to travel uphill at a speed of 20 km/per, with their engines off! This is not the case with only vehicles on the road. Helicopters and aircrafts also get to feel the impact and are thus asked to fly at higher speed to combat the magnetic effect. According to some reviews, some pilots have said that they have received jerks while flying through this area.

Magnetic Hill in Ladakh

Roopkund, is an interesting place in Uttarakhand. The place has an interesting place to visit there, the ‘Skeleton Lake’, set in the Himalayas. There are about three to six hundred skeletons lying at the edge of the lake. According to a survey report, in the year 2004, a team of European and Indian scientists had visited the area to find out more about the skeletons and the skulls. The team discovered vital clues like jewellery, bones and a preserved body. It is believed that almost three to six hundred people perished there. After the studies were conducted it was found out that these people died of not a disease but a sudden hailstorm.

These are some of the most interesting places to visit in India. Though, India has a rich cultural history and heritage, but it also has some of the unique places in the world to travel.

    Today’s Bhangarh is known for its ruins where nobody dares to go after dark, but is worth a visit; in fact the place is beautiful and tranquil. What remains though, is a shadow of a once beautiful kingdom.
